Sponsored Walk

It’s is with regret that due to the weather we have decided to postpone the Sponsored Walk on Sat 23/3/13.
We intend to walk it sometime after the Easter holidays and will inform you of the date in due course. So keep getting those sponsors.

Due to the weather, meaning a lack of officers being able to be present, we have made the decision to cancel this evening.

Advent Evening

A splendid evening was had by all as we looked forward to Christmas by thinking about the season of Advent. This was a social evening with boys, parents, family and friends. We all joined in singing carols, making a nativity to put up at home (see picture), enjoying a quiz, watching a sketch from the Company Section and learning about Advent.

The evening finished with a good natter over a cuppa and mince pie.

Christmas Evening

Prayer with Cliff College

We were delighted to welcome a group of theology students who joined us to lead our Junior and Company sessions.

The Juniors, after playing some excellent games, talked about what they would pray for, and also what they want to say sorry for.

To show the things that they had done wrong had been forgiven, they were written on a piece of paper, made into an aeroplane and aimed towards the bin!!

This was a really good introduction to prayer as next week the Juniors embark on the Battalion craft competition based on the Lord’s Prayer.

Remembrance Parade

We will be parading at 10.00am on Remembrance Sunday, 11th November.

Meet in the church hall at 10am in full uniform and poppy. All are welcome to share in the Remembrance Service which starts at 10.30.

Party in the Park

Well, the weather seems to be holding off, so its still going ahead.
Come and join us in Hillsborough park from 11.00 for fun, games, loads of different activities and food of course, with the other BB companies from the Sheffield and District Battalion.
